Principal NC Programmer

Job Summary:
Principal NC Programmers prepare CNC programs and supporting documentation for 2,3,4, and 5 axis CNC mills and CNC lathes. They provide hands on proofing requirements at CNC machine. They also work with Mfg. Engineers, Design Engineers, and Tool engineers to analyze B/P requirements for the manufacture of critical aerospace components.

Responsibilities to Include:
?Prepare manufacturing plans and routings to support component requirements.
?Create tooling lists, review fixture needs, order all necessary cutting tools.
?Create CNC programs using appropriate computer assisted software, create 3-D models on Cad-Cam system software to support CNC programs.
?Develop plans, programs, tooling, in support of cellular manufacturing.
?Set up work cells to support new products.
?Provide expertise on dedicated setups, and provide setup reduction methods.
?Train shop employees on proofing requirements and operational procedures.
?Support all HR Textron rules, guidelines, and procedures.
?Provide planning, programs, and documentation that reflect all requirements of ISO 9001.
?Create paperwork and documentation that will enhance all SPC operational requirements.
?Work with shop floor personnel to solve immediate production problems, provide solutions and quick responce to all production issues.
?Provide cost reduction ideas on all programs new and current.
?Work with Tool Engineer to design low cost efficient tooling for all programs.
?Create cutting tool preset sheets. Create tool orders within SAP.
?Build cutter assembly kits within KATMS.
?Provide quotes for submittal for purchase requisitions. Provide hands on proofing at CNC machine.
?Work with Manufacturing engineers, design engineers, and tool engineers to analyze B/P requirements for the manufacturability.
?Prepare manufacturing plans and operation instruction sheets.

?Train shop employees on proofing requirements and operational procedures.
?Create paperwork and documentation that will enhance all SPC operational requirements.

?Work with Tool Engineer to design low cost efficient tooling for all programs.

Position Requirements:
?Must have Unigraphics experience.
?15 Years Programming experience.
?10 Years Manufacturing Engineering experience.
?Vericut experience helpful.
