This position will be located at our DSES Teterboro, NJ facility which is within the Military Aircraft business and will be responsible for design and development of RF Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) for complex Avionics Radar Systems. Description
This position involves being the lead engineer in the development of Test Requirements and designing Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) for Radar Antenna?s, Transmitters and Microwave Receivers. This person will work closely with the United States Air Force as well with some foreign military customers to design, build, and ensure continued operability of Radar Test Equipment. As much of the existing technology is proprietary to Honeywell, this individual will initially be charged with helping to design systems that will utilize a greater proportion ?of the shelf? technology. It will be expected that the successful candidate will ultimately transition to the primary technical lead for radar test equipment suite of products. The successful candidate will be expected to travel to customer locations to make presentations and assist with upgrade and maintainability issues. In addition, the candidate will support the Program Office for pricing, proposals, and presentations for both internal management and external customers.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must have at least 10-15 years of experience in a similar role and possess a solid understanding of the product development life cycle, be able to lead a team of engineers, have solid customer interface skills and have a strong working knowledge of RF/Microwave test instrumentation. The position also requires experience in defining the calibration procedures of RF Test Equipment in accordance with AFMETCAL standards. Knowledge of programming languages such as National Instruments Lab View/ATLAS/ C/ Lab Windows CVI is a plus. A BSEE is required and a MSEE is a plus. US Citizenship is required for this position; job requires either currently having a secret security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
