Production Specialist

Working closely with Engineering, will assist in the development of production standards, prototype builds, and work-cell layout to determine the most efficient, effective and safe methods of manufacturing a product.

 

Key Responsibilities Include:

?  Establish production standards by working on production projects (hands-on) as assigned.  Will work on a variety of products (existing and new) and in all of the production departments. 

?  Describe each step, making notes as necessary, so that Engineering can document thoroughly.

?  Ability to comprehend basic dimensions and tolerances.

?  Ability to inspect as well as utilize basic inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, depth gage, etc.).

?  Make suggestions for improvements.

?  Assist in the transfer and training of work standards to production.

?  Responsible for cleaning their work area and equipment.

?  Follow safety rules of the work area.

?  Cooperate with the appropriate Supervisor to ensure minimal disruption to the normal production efforts.

 

Typical Qualifications Include:

?  Requires high school education

?  1-3 years of related production experience. 

?  Must be recognized as highly efficient and effective in current position. 

?  Communicate in English both written and verbally.

?  Basic computer skills with the ability to navigate around files.

 

 

Additional Desired Skills:

?  Works under limited supervision.

?  Ability to comprehend basic dimensions and tolerances.

?  Ability to inspect as well as utilize basic inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, depth gage, etc.).

?  Make suggestions for improvements.
