Program Engineering Manager

Job Description:  

Fortune 500 company, a global supplier in the aerospace industry, seeking a Program Engineering Manager for its Colorado location.  The Program Engineering Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the Program Engineering Department. Will manage and oversee existing production programs, as well as to qualify and implement new carbon programs and technology into production. The Program Engineering Manager is the primary technical liaison between company and aircraft client. The Program Engineering Manager plans, organizes, directs and controls all departmental operations while meeting safety, quality, on-time delivery, financial, and continuous improvement goals.

 

Duties:

Work with Carbon operations to conceive, develop, implement and manage carbon product/process specifications; ensuring compliance with all required company, regulatory and customer requirements.

Responsible for ensuring product health & integrity by managing the specification and approval processes for new technology and new programs through qualification and production life.

Ensure that process shifts do not negatively impact product performance or acceptance; provide guidance for production process control plans.

Support development of business-level strategic technology plans.

Support initiatives aimed at providing continuous reduction of product cost and a corresponding increase in quality and on-time delivery.

 

Skills:

B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering or equivalent technical degree

Ten years engineering experience

Five years aerospace or automotive industry experience

Strong statistics skills

Green belt certification

Experienced with lean manufacturing principles

Carbon-carbon or composite expertise desired
