Purchasing Leader

Omniflight Helicopters Inc. is the largest privately-held air medical company in the country.  We currently operate over 50 air ambulance helicopters and airplanes in 14 states.  Some of our programs include Native Air Ambulance in Arizona, Med Flight in Ohio, LifeLine in Indiana, and Mayo Air Medical Transport in Minnesota.  We are seeking a Purchasing Leader to help expand our business even further.  If you are looking for an exciting and rewarding career, Omniflight is the place for you!

 

Job Duties:   

 

 

?  Developing strategic direction for consolidated purchasing according to the goals and expectations of Omniflight Helicopters Inc.

?  Actively pursue all activities to reduce our total cost to purchase goods and services

?  Negotiate on a national level for all business services, direct and indirect purchasing,

?  Responsible for the direct supervision of buying personnel at ADS and satellite locations including training, performance management, development, motivation and recognition

?  Monitor compliance with purchasing policies and procedures

?  Maximize cash flow a related to purchasing activities

?  Drive cost analysis of purchases, and identifying/implementing purchasing process improvements

?  Developing metrics for vendor management and to measure purchasing success

?  Perform value stream mapping to identify non-value and value adding steps

?  Develop and implement best practices across all sites

?  Participate on cross-functional teams as the purchasing representative

?  Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

 

?  5 ? 10 years supervisory/team management skills in purchasing with a demonstrated record of impact and results

?  Knowledgeable in FAA and other governmental regulations

?  Strong analytical, data processing, and reporting skills

?  Proven success in training and developing staff

?  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, adept at managing conflict to resolution

?  Proven experience in problem identification, analysis, and resolution at both a strategic and functional level

?  Strong computer proficiency

?  Ability to successfully multi task with a bias for action

?  Bachelors degree preferred
