Quality Assurance Manager

 

 

Manage the Quality Assurance Group and facilitate risk analysis, problem solving, and process improvement projects within an electronic manufacturing environment. Assists in the development or revision of overall corporate procedures, policies, and guidelines to ensure continued compliance to AS9100. Perform software quality assurance (SWQA) activities. Administer the MRB, Receiving Inspection, and first article processes. Audit various aspects of company quality management system, including selected suppliers. Serve as a focal point for customer/industry quality system audits and requests for corrective action. Supervise personnel who act as a DMIR for the FAA. Reports to the Director of Quality.

 

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

Complete knowledge of quality assurance principles, practices and procedures, including ISO9001/AS9100 and related FAA requirements. Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies including Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing. Must be comfortable with statistical methods, structured root cause analysis, and problem solving methods.  Must work well in a small team environment, demonstrating flexibility, and with an attention to detail and a strong desire to achieve company and project success.

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Ideal candidate has experience in Hardware and Software Quality Assurance in a manufacturing environment. BS Degree in Engineering or related discipline required with a minimum of 2-5 years of experience in Quailty Engineering. Previous supervisory experience strongly desired.
