Quality Control Inspector
Education
Associates Degree preferred (or equivalent work experience), FAA Airframe & Powerplant certificates (required), Meet eligibility and knowledge requirements for FAA Inspection Authorization.
QualificationsTwo (2) years of direct product quality inspection/verification; two (2) years part 145 repair station experience; detailed knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations, including; parts 21, 23, 43, 91, 121, 135, 145
Secondary Skills:
SAP business system, Microsoft Office Suite.
Primary Responsibilities
Responsible for; validation of product quality and airworthiness, compliance with the applicable maintenance and inspection program of the operator, performs in-process, and final insepction, performs return to service duties for aircraft and aircraft related products; adherence to all quality control processes and procedures, functions within the authorizations given by the repair station (Service Center), complies with the processes and procedures necessary to promote and maintain product quality and airworthiness, assists the Chief Inspector in ensuring the repair station maintains its calibrated tooling in compliance with ? 145, assists the Chief Inspector in ensuring the repair station maintains its technical data and has current and applicable technical data for the articles it maintains, assists the Chief Inspector in performing compliance audits for internal/ external operations as needed.
Physical Requirements:
The Quality Control Inspector position is a hands-on position, working on, in, and around aircraft performing inspections and validations of product quality and airworthiness. This position will require prolonged sitting, standing, accessing internal and external areas of aircraft, lifting of tooling and equipment, exposure to some chemicals used in the maintenance process. Exposure to flightline; turbine powered aircraft noise.
