Work under the guidance of the Quality Assurance Manager in order to establish and maintain manufacturing support and inspection activities within schedule and cost constraints, without compromising customer and Goodrich quality standards. This includes the quality planning, root cause analysis of problems, and effective corrective actions that continuously reduce nonconformances.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Define and maintain effective quality plans that are consistent with all customer and Goodrich requirements. This includes but is not limited to;
-The preparation of quality plans
-The identification and acquisition of inspection and test equipment needed to achieve required quality levels
-The updating, as necessary, inspection and testing techniques, including the development of new gauging
-The identification of appropriate inspection stages, both in-process and final acceptance.
-The clarification of standards of acceptability
-The identification, preparation, and maintainance of quality records

Identify and handle nonconforming material per appropriate customer and Goodrichwork instructions and specifications.

Participate in corrective activities that appropriately identify and continuously improve, through the usage of both basic and advanced quality tools, those processes generating poor quality parts.

Interface with manufacturing associates to implement and utilize statistical process control methods within the cell to improve processes.

Develop and perform internal audits.

Review manufacturing/quality plans and provide approval for release to customer.

Write and evaluate work instructions.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or related field plus 5 years experience in quality assurance, operations, manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering and/or equivalent combination of the above. Desire specific experience in applicable Quality Assurance and Technical functions. Experience in the transition from Product Development to Production Operations is highly desirable. Direct knowledge of measurement systems, statistical methods (Six Sigma), tooling or production processes is also desired along with knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
