Research and Technology Protection Engineer (1037)

Description

Beta Analytics International a Subsidiary of the Analex Corporation is seeking Technology Protection Engineers for its Virginia, Alabama, New Jersey locations. Successful candidates will have demonstrated experience with warfighting systems development programs, from research and development through technology integration into an acquisition program; understanding of the requirements for preliminary and critical design review and developmental and operational testing; firm understanding of the methodology for identifying critical research or program information and the measures necessary to protect such information; firm understanding of how to lead the development of defense Program Protection Plans, beginning with the accurate identification of critical program information and concluding with the development of an effective countermeasures plan; understanding of how to integrate engineering, security, counterintelligence, and foreign disclosure personnel into an effective protection team; must be capable of in-depth review of engineering projects or programs with the engineers and understanding their work at a level that enables the accurate identification of sensitive, critical information that must be protected, leading an effective protection planning process, and overseeing protection plan implementation. With minimal supervision, perform the assessments of, and implement improvements to research and technology protection plans, and program protection plans in combat and material development centers and laboratories, concentrating efforts on sensitivity determination analyses, critical program information assessment and determination, threat integration, vulnerability analysis and risk assessment, technology assessment/control plans, system security engineering, and the development of comprehensive countermeasures plans. These on-site experts will work directly with Center/Lab staffs, the scientists, engineers, and program managers in the field, along with the clients headquarters staff providing expert process improvement and problem-solving

 Required Skills

PhD/Masters; Engineering degree desired - Bachelors Degree in Engineering, or significant experience and demonstrated skills in supporting engineering programs - Membership in IEEE/ certification in vulnerability and risk assessment a plus.

 Required Experience

Minimum/General Experience: Minimum of 12 years experience, of which at least 8 years must be specialized with significant experience protecting complex, sensitive weapons programs; an understanding of the DoD technology generation and acquisition processes. Experienced integrating engineering, security, and counterintelligence into an effective team, and the ability to lead teams through the development and implementation of protection plans. U.S. military or government civilian experience essential.
