This position will be located in Honeywell?s Tucson, Arizona facility.  As part of Honeywell Aerospace?s Tucson division, the Tucson facility manufactures a wide array of environmental and engine control systems and related components for military and civilian aircraft as well as for spacecraft.  This facility houses more than 800 individuals.

 

DESCRIPTION

The Senior Engineer will perform circuit design for analog, digital, and signal conditioning circuits for airborne control applications. The selected Senior Engineer will perform detailed design of circuits, work independently and as a team member to translate hardware requirements into complete systems and will determine components and components values required to meet electrical, environmental and functional requirements using selected topologies. The successful candidate will supervise layout and fabrication processes, test and supervise design assurance testing to verify compliance of designs to specifications, perform failure investigations and implement solutions to solve qualification and production hardware failures.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

This individual must have direct circuit design experience in the design and analysis of circuitry.

 

Additionally, this individual will have:BSEE and 7 years experience, MSEE and 5 years experience, or PhD in Electrical Engineering and 3 years experience.Experience designing electronic circuits in airborne applications.Experience designing to meet DO-160, DO-254, MIL-STD-461, and MIL-STD-704 requirementsExperience with Accuracy Control using P-Spice, VHDL CAE tools, and Mentor Graphics Design ArchitectExperience with Microsoft Office tools suiteExperience with Six-Sigma design and analysis techniquesDemonstrated ability to lead small teamsDemonstrated ability to mentor less experienced engineers. Good oral and written communication skills with employees at all levelsTeam player skills; self starter
