Company Information
This position will be located in Honeywell?s Redmond, WA facility as part of Honeywell?s Communication/Navigation products group. The Redmond facility designs a wide array of radio equipment and related components. This facility houses more than 1000 individuals that design and develop a variety of avionics systems.
Description
Honeywell is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer responsible for Legacy Radio system (ADF, DME, RA) activities for the Communication/Navigation Group. Additional responsibilities include:Customer focal for technical system issues for A-380 and B-787 programsUpdate of System Requirements for Legacy RadiosFocal for Change Management activities using CR Synergy for Legacy RadiosSupport of Internal IPDS and Customer program reviews for Legacy RadiosSupport supplier selection for Navigation Radio antennasPrepare and complete goals, objectives, and development actionsObtain working knowledge of Redmond design, quality control, and configuration processesObtain working knowledge of Navigation Radio System and interfacesMember of a team that improves internal processes, resulting in reduced cycle times for product developmentDevelopment of Certification documentation including TSO submittals
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree Ability to use DOORS or similar for requirements captureAbility to use CR Synergy or similar for change management5+ years of relevant experience in systems avionics fieldBackground in navigation radios a plusAction Oriented: enjoys working with challenges; thrives on meeting and exceeding goals and objectivesVersatile: learns quickly when facing new problems, adapts to change, self motivated, innovative, and able to work in a team environmentWilling to travel: will accept assignments that require minimal travelCommunication: Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
