This position will be located in Honeywell?s Redmond, Washington facility as part of Honeywell?s Electronic Hardware Design group. The Redmond facility designs a wide array of surveillance equipment and related components. This facility houses more than 1000 individuals that design and develop a variety of avionics systems.

Description


Honeywell is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to contribute to the development of electronic solutions for commercial avionics including; Radar, EGPWS, TCAS, and Integrated Surveillance products. Additional responsibilities for this position include:
? Accountability for the entire development cycle including; requirements definition, implementation, design verification, design documentation, and production release
? Translate hardware performance parameters into requirements
? Conduct detailed design, analysis and performance modeling of digital circuits and subsystems
? Responsible for defining schedules, managing the CCA development timeline, and reporting status/risks to program management
? Participation in IPDS team development process
? Adherence to DO-160D and DO-254 development guidelines for airworthy products
? Guide Test Engineers in the specification of Requirements Based Tests, diagnosis of test failures and corrective action
? Utilize Six Sigma tools and processes to drive product quality ? be a Champion of Design For Six Sigma (DFSS)

Qualifications

The successful candidate must have a B.S in Electrical Engineering with 6-10 years experience in a product development environment as well as Digital Design experience. Knowledge of Processor Architecture Definition, Signal Integrity Analysis, and experience in DO-160/DO-254 is desirable.

 

Additional qualifications include:
? Familiarity with commercial avionics or aerospace
? Experience developing/testing and debugging mixed digital, analog, and RF hardware designs
? Experience with VHDL/Verilog development
? Working knowledge of software architecture
? Extensive experience defining and implementing processor based designs
? Experience programming windows based testers, C, LabVIEW, etc. would be a benefit
? Effective communication: in person, in written form, and via telecommunications
? Knowledge of Airbus' ABD-100 and GRESS policies and processes
? Experience in working with local and international teams to accomplish project objectives
? Proven ability to effectively communicate program status and needs
? Good written and verbal communications skills
? Experience with DOORS requirements management tool
