Sr Supervisor - Facility Protection

Job Description   The Industrial Fire Chief must have extensive experience at all levels of Fire service operations to provide the management, strategic planning, and public relations leadership.  Responsible for budgets, monitoring and approving expenditures, developing capital expenditure budgets, establishing policies and procedures, directing planning, conducts written and oral reports and/or presentations, enforcement of federal, state and local fire prevention codes and standards, etc.  Also conducts research on fire protection issues, responsible for overall supervision, direction, evaluation, training, and recruitment of department personnel.  Experience with automatic fire suppression systems and NFPA International code compliance required.  Must be certified as Hazmat Tech within 6 months of employment. 

 Education 

Applicant must have a High School Diploma.  BA in Fire Science or related field is preferred. 

 Experience 

Ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, priority setting, and leadership skills and a AA in Fire Science, BA in Business Administration, Communications, Public Administration or a related field, plus 7 years experience in the administration of fire prevention, suppression and emergency medical services (3 must be in a supervisory capacity).  Candidates who graduated or are currently enrolled in the National Fire Academy EFO Program are highly encouraged to participate in the selection process.
