Sr. Technical Writer

Sr. Technical Writer Description: Research, plan content, organize, write, edit, and proof proposals, program documents, marketing documents, past performance or capability documents, resumes, and electronic presentations for technical and non-technical personnel. May coordinate document production, work of graphic artists, word processors, and reprographics personnel. Prepare and maintain appropriate administrative records and reports. Perform duties in a safe, non-hazardous manner in compliance with safety standards and Company policies. Work to be be done on-site.



Requirements:
Expertise in mechanics of technical report preparation. Excellent technical editing and proofing skills. Must have ability to condense material into easily understandable text and ensure thoroughness and accuracy of all publications. Ability to work with project personnel, support groups, and subject matter experts. Solid verbal and written communication skills. Must be assertive, creative, energetic. Must think strategically, be proactive and decisive. Strong researching, writing, and interviewing skills. Ability to work well with people as well as independently. Ability to perform multiple projects simultaneously and work under deadline pressure with fast turnarounds. Ability to work with little or no supervision after initial briefing. Excellent customer-service skills. Availability to work overtime. Experience writing for Web a plus. Sound computer skills. Candidate should have working knowledge of MSWord, PowerPoint, and Excel. Familiarity with Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, PageMaker or InDesign a plus. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: BS in a related field and 6 or more years experience.
