Position Overview
Coordinates projects and improvement activities with suppliers and AIP COS to develop the lowest cost source of supply for assigned commodity. Develops commodity strategy, make/buy tools and cost driver models for assigned commodity. Analyzes indirect material cost structure to achieve the lowest cost source. Supports corporate initiatives for assigned commodity.

Primary Responsibilities
' Develops tools, models and analysis to determine cost drivers for assigned commodity.
' Identifies lowest global cost source of supply for assigned commodity and implement at AIP COS. Works closely with GR Commodity Managers to implement Enterprise Sourcing Agreements at AIP COS.
' Develops suppliers' capabilities to improve the quality, delivery, and reduce the cost of assigned commodity.
' Manage projects/new programs when transitioning sources of supply including oversight for the technical, customer and regulatory requirements.
' Researches, develops and implements tools, processes, or infrastructures to achieve best practices and lowest cost sources of assigned commodity.
' Prepares and presents information such as results and processes to management and employees.
' Develop and implement long term agreements in support of commodity strategy.
' Develop and forecast inventory levels
' Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Required:
' BS degree, and at least 3 years related Supply Chain Management and/or Strategic Sourcing experience with a technical emphasis, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
' Good MS Office skills.
' Strong negotiating and contract management skills.

' Strong written and verbal skills.
' Ability to multi-task with good organizational and prioritization skills.

Working Conditions ' Physical requirements and environment
' 20-25% data analysis
' Office environment with moderate noise levels.
' Occasional need to be in stockroom, or on production floor, requiring safety glasses.
' Ability to input, retrieve, access and send information via computer.
' Domestic and international travel up to 25%.
