Education

Advanced Degree preferred, 10 years aviation production experience in place of degree will be considered.

Qualifications5 years experience in inspection of aircraft and aircraft parts. A working knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering and planning processes. Ability to read engineering drawings, Knowledge of aircraft assembly practices, must have experience in fastener installations, ability to analyze and solve problems. Communicate effectively and provide clear instructions. Must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft products. Practice and demonstrate a quality oriented approach to work. Provide training of specialty skills to other team members. Have experience in FAA conformity activity and knowledge of NDT, Dye- Penetrant and Eddy Current inspection. Must have background in commercial aircraft and FAA requirements Must be able to work as a team player and participate in problem solving groups.

Secondary Skills:
Experience with assembly hand tools, quality measuring equipment, rigging of aircraft, tool calibration, (hand tool and assembly hard tooling). A&P License is desired.


 

Primary ResponsibilitiesServe as contact point in manufacturing to drive resolution to problems in production. This will include coordinating the tooling, planning and quality activities on the floor. This position will assure closure and follow-up to corrective action activity. The incumbent will coordinate with liaison engineering on design and rework issues in the production areas. This person will assist and assure the MRB process is followed on discrepancies found during the manufacturing process. This person is also responsible for coordinating and doing follow-up on customer items.

Physical Requirements:
May have periods of prolonged standing, a considerable amount of walking will be required in this position to provide follow-up and coordination on issues. Will also be subject to usual shop noises and periods of engine noise.
