Crane Aerospace & Electronics - Eldec Corporation is a world leader in aircraft system applications for sensing, electrical power, brake controls, fuel and lubrication pumps, flow meters, and cabin systems. Our products include high quality, high-reliability low voltage power supplies for use in avionics electronic systems, battery chargers, AC-DC converters, position sensing systems and transducers for pressure and fuel flow.

 

Job Description:  Work with senior staff to establish the system architecture for sensor-based control and indication systems. "Hands-On" position responsible for system engineering activities from initial product R&D phases through transition-to-production and certification.

 

Apply requirements management best practices, including requirements capture, flowdown/traceability, validation, verification, and change management. Generate structured systems documentation.

 

Model, simulate, and specify components that reside in a system comprised of microcontrollers, embedded software, and sensors. Develop algorithms using strong analytical and math skills. Perform system integration and verification activities using laboratory test equipment.



 

Experience Required: 

Systems-related classwork or projects

Embedded microprocessors, sensors, and system simulators a plus

Serial data communications a plus

 

Education:

BS in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering; MS preferred
