T55-GA-714A Engine Project Engineer

Gas Turbine Engine experience.? Prefer to have experience with the T55 series of engines, but experience with gas turbine engines is acceptable.? Project Engineering experience.? Program management capabilities to work T55-GA-714A engine improvement programs.? Should be capable of monitoring budget requirements, overseeing schedules and costs, review test plans and test reports.? Interface and gather input from AED functional experts.? Relay program information to project lead.? Travel to contractor for program reviews. Familiar with Air worthiness requirements. Knowledge of AED's mission as the Air worthiness authority. Cat I QDRs knowledge. Work field related deficiency reports as required.? Non-Conformance reports.? Review hardware non-conformance reports and develop AED position.? Field Calls:? Work with the field to resolve issues.? Deviation and Waivers.? Review/task and develop AED position.? ECP's.? Review/task and develop AED position on Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs). Overhaul/Repair. Work overhaul issues to include repair criteria, participate in First Article Tests, review DMWRs, and work with CCAD on technical issues. Contract knowledge and SOW experience.? Capable of writing SOW's for hardware implementation, work contract issues as they arise. Capable of writing CDRLs.? Hardware Fielding.? Support the fielding of new hardware to include contract efforts, SOW, hardware support, funding requirements, schedules, etc.? Meetings.? Support T55 Program Management Reviews, User's Conferences, Fleet Management Reviews, Component Improvement Program Reviews, System Safety Working Group, and other meetings as required.? Technical Manuals.? Review manual changes and manual updates as related to the T55 engine.? Critical Safety Items.? Support AED's ongoing CSI efforts.? Work with AED's Task Tracking System.? As a T55 project engineer you will have to use the task tracking system to get functional input.? Safety.? Work T55 safety related issues to include development of MIMs, SOFs or ASAMs.? Hardware testing.? Support test efforts to include bench testing and aircraft level testing.? AWRs.? Participate/Review the development of Air worthiness Releases.

Support the T55-GA-714A engine team in areas of Air worthiness qualification efforts for engine product improvements and program management efforts for implementing and managing engine improvements.

The Aviation Engineering Directorate?s Propulsion Division, Engine Project Branch will require active participation in this effort in order to provide Air worthiness qualification requirements, manage improvement programs, develop budget requirements, develop implementation strategies, determine implementation requirements, procure fielding hardware, and manage fielding activities.? Minimum Education/Experience Requirements (Engineering Degree from an accredited program of study and requires a minimum of 15 years of experience and the ability to perform detailed and complex calculations plus knowledge of practices/principles necessary to assess advanced systems concepts, assess specifications and perform system integration.
