Team Leader of R&D Laboratory. Involves supervising of up to thirty senior and junior level technicians. Includes setting up training programs for the junior technicians. Includes estimating work hours and schedule times for completion of laboratory projects, assigning technicians to complete the projects, providing technical direction to the technicians, and monitoring the technical activities and scheduling performance. Continuous communication with engineers responsible for the projects is a key element with this job.

Minimum ten years experience, fifteen preferred in an aerospace materials engineering laboratory. Ideal experience will include hands-on component fabrication, and a thorough knowledge of and capability with laboratory equipment and instrumentation. Three to five years experience leading senior level technicians, in a laboratory environment, and a proven record of completing projects on time, and in compliance with the technical requirements. A clear understanding and ability to apply Lean tools is required.
