Tool Maker/Machinist

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Must have a minimum of 10 years of tooling/jig fixture experience

Minimum 5 years of Lieca Laser experience 

 

? Strong mathematical, written and verbal communications skills

? Minimum education standard of a high school diploma, a relevant degree will be a strong advantage

? Experience with Fiberglass/Composite Tooling

? Use of all machine tools including large lathes, boring mills, planers, shapers, shears and cranes

? Computers, including CAD/CAM programs helpful

? Use of standard office machines

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

? The successful development, manufacture, commissioning and maintenance of tools, jigs, fixtures and test equipment required to support the Company?s products.

? The checking of designs produced by tool designers for accuracy and feasibility

? Assisting other tool makers or tool designers in the design, development and commissioning of larger, more complicated equipment

? The coordination with manufacturing personnel and aircraft design engineers to confirm the correct function and requirements for equipment.

? Liaison with aircraft engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance and other disciplines, including external agencies, to resolve problems and achieve timely success.

? Providing assistance to other personnel in the manufacture of tools.

? Compliance with other requirements determined by company management or supervisory staff.
