JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

Incumbent would be expected to instruct student UAV pilots in flight procedures and techniques. The successful candidate would be an experienced   senior level UAV Pilot familiar with all aspects of one or more operational/tactical UAV platforms/aircraft including flight, ground equipment operations, maintenance, logs, and records.  Knowledge of airspace and procedures, crew coordination, aircrew flight records, FAA and DoD regulation with respect to contractor and military UAV flight operations required.

 

Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:Conducting Internal and External Pilot training classes for pilot candidates in accordance with training syllabus, schedule, and regulations.Providing accurate scoring and recommendations of pilot candidates.Evaluating training methods and recommending changes and improvements to ensure efficient and effective qualification of students in order to remain current with government regulations and procedures.

 

Knowledge of aircraft performance and handing fundamentals, operational employment concepts, and flight test procedures is mandatory, as instructors may also be expected to participate in research and development including:Planning and conducting flight test activities.Formulating test procedures and conducting tests to evaluate structural integrity, performance, handling characteristics, reliability, and suitability of aircraft and systems.Identifying design and operational deficiencies and recommending improvements.

Experience preparing technical reports and recommendations for design improvements would be a definite plus.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
