Fuel & Utility Systems, Goodrich Corporation designs and manufactures a wide variety of completely integrated systems for both the original equipment and retrofit aircraft markets. This position reports to the Vice President/General Manager of FUS. Reporting to the position are the Director of Manufacturing (Vergennes), the Manager of Manufacturing (Rome), the Supply Chain Director, and the Director of Materials. In addition, more than 400 persons, organized in product teams, report indirectly to the incumbent.

Lead the operations responsible for manufacturing highly specialized machined, electronic and electro-mechanical products for FUS and GAS customers at manufacturing locations in Vergennes, VT and Rome, NY.

Identify and implement processes to improve product quality, reduce cycle time, and reduce manufacturing cost through the application of comprehensive CI and lean practices.

Manage inventory at levels that enable fulfillment of product
delivery commitments while meeting or exceeding internal cash flow targets.

Work with design engineering to ensure an orderly and effective new product introduction process.

Develop and maintain the FUS operations budget, including the
operations capital plan.

Develop and refine a global supply chain plan that engages sub-tier partners to perform functions that previously had been performed in-house, while meeting or exceeding delivery and quality requirements.

Plan and conduct facilities construction projects and overall facilities maintenance.

Lead FUS's FAA-certified repair station.

Ensure that the operations organization has the capabilities necessary to fulfill FUS's operations near term plan and its' longer term strategy.

Ensure a safe work environment.

Support Goodrich's commitment to environmental protection.

Maintain a positive and constructive relationship with the Rome union.

BA/BS, preferably in an engineering discipline
The following are required:

*Extensive knowledge of production processes associated with
high valued-added products ' preferably for aerospace
applications.
*Supply Chain Management
*Effective in driving change
