Wire Installation Designers

Labinal, Inc., in support of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, has multiple requirements for Wire Installation Designers.  These positions are immediate, full time, direct, located in Everett, Washington.

 

Position Description: 

?  Design wire harness installation/assembly according to schedule and quality requirements

?  Support the continuous improvement of the installation design activity.

Responsibilities and Activities :

?  Works under direct supervision of a Team Lead

?  Responsible for design activity for given task/zone via Team Lead instructions

?  Design 3D wire harness geometry using the provided CAD tools (CATIA V5/ ENOVIA)

?  Self check and correct inconsistent data

?  Group check the work of other Designers

?  Update and back up of working files

 

Interpersonal Skills Required :

?  Experience in aerospace or mechanical engineering design environment

?  Design skills and tools knowledge as stated in Table 1

?  Ability to extract/manipulate 3D electronic data to achieve required design

?  Detail oriented

?  Team spirit, positive attitude and personal initiative

?  Good written and oral communication skills

 

Approximately two years ago, Labinal earned the contract to work in partnership with The Boeing Company to perform the wire design engineering activities and installation of the wiring onto the new airplane, 787.  It is this program that is actively recruiting Engineers and Project Assistants.
