Seed Sales/Agronomy

 

Secure more efficient production, higher yield, and improved quality of crops by conducting experiments in crop problems and developing new growing methods.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Ÿ Promote and coordinate the sale and distribution of seeds, fertilizer, agricultural chemicals, application services, and related product lines.

Ÿ Conduct market research to determine how the needs of the customers can be satisfied w/ coop products and services.

Ÿ Understand, gather and analyze complex info to develop alternative solutions to sometimes complex problems.

Ÿ Promote exemplary customer service focused on the needs of the buyers.

Ÿ Demonstrate energy and enthusiasm towards the company and their products.

Ÿ Demonstrate a self-motivated attitude.

Ÿ Contribute to building a positive team spirit.

 

Qualifications

 

2 to 4 yrs related experience and training 

Manure management and crop advisory knowledge a plus

Ability to read and interpret technical journals, field maps, safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, etc.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Basic math skills.

Troubleshooting skills

Knowledge of word processing and/or spreadsheet software, and industry specific software.

Commercial drivers license required, Certified Crop Advisor and  HAZMAT Drivers Certificate recommended.
