Materials Manager

Lindsay Manufacturing Co., a leading manufacturer and marketer of center pivot and lateral move agricultural irrigation equipment, has a position available for a Materials Manager to work at our manufacturing site located in Lindsay, Nebraska.

 

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

 Job Metrics include inventory turns, forecast/planning process accuracy, customer lead time, and on-time performance. Interfaces with product line coordinators on the planning and forecasting of customer requirements.Manages the sourcing and inventory control functions.Provides leadership to production planners on all material flow issues to meet production schedules and customer requirements.Proven record of tracking and managing facility inventory.Lean Manufacturing concepts must be instituted and maintained.Fosters team and individual growth through coaching and mentoring.Communicates and promotes team activities. Inspire, motivate and lead others to achieve company objectives in a team based environment.Provide open and honest feedback to direct reports and operations personnel regarding performance and accountabilities.Apply Company Policies and Procedures fairly and consistentlyHiring Manager for all departmental openings.Ensure all Company Safety policies, Environmental and OSHA regulations are strictly adhered to by all Departmental Personnel.Establish order promise date process to ensure OTP and customer service.

 

 

Basic Skills:

 Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Microsoft Office experience is a must.
