Operations Clerk

We?re Bartlett and Company, a financially strong, family owned, independent agribusiness with operations in 10 states. This position is located at our Council Bluffs, IA grain terminal location.


Continued growth in our grain division creates an opportunity for an individual to join us as an Operations Clerk. This position is an integral member of our grain terminal and will focus initially on learning about the commodities markets, problem solving, documentation of trades, computer systems, etc. As you learn the business, your duties will expand to our grain operations within the elevator itself.  As you demonstrate proficiency in your responsibilities you will gain more opportunities for furthering your knowledge of the grain industry.

 

The candidate must be willing and able to; work with our customers in a customer service role, work with computers in various capacities, work at times in an office setting as well as be able to step into an outside position working in an industrial setting.  The key to success in this position is flexibility to perform various duties, as well as an attitude to step into multiple roles through out a single day.

Education/ Requirements: A degree in Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness or General Agriculture or agricultural life experience preferred, but not required. One must have the ability to communicate effectively in verbal and in written form, able to demonstrate phone etiquette, work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities, and be willing to support the team?s goals.
