Senior or Junior Commodity Trader
Our cooperative is the leading supplier of manufactured feed products in Michigan and a player in the sale of feed ingredients to livestock producers. We are seeking a skilled agricultural commodity trader to join our team. This position will be based in West Michigan and report to the Chief Operating Officer.
Position is responsible for the procurement, hedging and sales of traditional commodity products for our feed manufacturing facility as well as the merchandising of ingredients. Position leads the planning of risk management strategies, forecasting, contract development, logistics and general business development within the marketplace.
Requirements: BS/BA degree with 3 to 10-plus years of commodity trading experience. Customer focus, strong interpersonal skills, creative energy, problem solving ability and an ethical approach to the market are key attributes required to succeed in our organization. Must have a background in agricultural commodities to be a viable candidate.
