Ever consider a position in the wine industry?
On Assignment Lab Support is currently working with a winery in Dundee, OR for personnel for their crush/harvest, which will be positions lasting from mid-September through the end of the season, generally late November.
Description:
We are considering candidates for temporary crush/harvest positions for fall of 2006. Work in one of Oregon?s pioneering wineries with our cellar team. Duties include hands-on production in receiving and processing grapes, working with ferments, pressing, and sanitation. Position will likely involve working 5-6 days/week and 8-12 hours/day. Overtime is paid for hours over 40/week.
Requirements:
Prefer experience in the wine manufacturing industry or experience in agriculture, though not required.
All candidates must have an interest working in or learning about the wine industry
Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to perform tasks from written and/or verbal work orders
Must be 18 years or older
Able to read, write, speak, understand and communicate in English.
Ability to work days or nights, in varying temperatures and extended hours as needed dependent upon production needs.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. intermittently.
Must have reliable transportation to the Dundee, OR area (local candidates only: i.e. Portland, Salem area)
