AIRLINE SAFETY ENGINEERS

 

 

The Air Line Pilots Association, International, the largest pilots association in the world is seeking qualified candidates for two positions of Staff Engineer in its Engineering and Air Safety department.  The successful applicants will be part of a team developing the resolutions of a variety of airline safety issues, including providing technical support for US NTSB and Canadian TSBC investigations of airline aircraft accidents.  Applicants should have a minimum of five years of related experience in the aviation industry.  A pilot?s license with an instrument rating is preferred.  Special expertise in the Federal Aviation Regulations, national and international aviation standards, accident investigation procedures, aircraft operations, and the Federal Air Traffic Control System can be substituted for the pilot?s license. Knowledge of FAA/TC/ICAO TERPS criteria and related instrument procedure design processes or FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification or equivalent experience with maintenance and/or large aircraft manufacturing is highly desirable.
