G2 is looking for a candidate to fill the General Manager - Airline Passenger Service position and lead the Chicago O'Hare (ORD), Illinois operation. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of Airport/Airline Operations management and proven customer service experience. The position is responsible for efficient and effective management of the support operations of 'above wing' airline/passenger service per client airline specifications,via day-to-day operations including staff selection, training, performance management, scheduling, covering open shifts, manage daily/weekly budgeted hours, incident investigations, and responding to client needs. Position reports to a Regional Operations Manager and oversees a small staff of non-exempt, hourly airline service employees.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:Must be able to perform all duties of subordinate employees when necessary. Must be familiar with all pertinent regulations (company/client/government agencies)Schedule personnel daily/weekly and furnish copy to Regional ManagerMake sure employees follow all regulations/procedures Manage weekly and monthly labor allocations in accordance with client's approved budget Communicate effectively with fellow employees and client representativesMake recommendations to Regional Manager regarding personnel performanceCommunicate safety hazards and equipment problems to corporate support or Regional ManagerMake sure state licenses and training records are currentReport inquiries and other major incidents to corporate support and/or Regional Manager Keep supervisor informed of needs and problems in assigned areas, maintain cleanliness of immediate work area and report maintenance needs Utilize appropriate communications channels and maintain records, reports and files as required Utilize company and client equipment, supplies and resources in a conscientious, cost effective mannerPerform quality assurance service audits as directed to conform to client?s specifications and/or proceduresPerform other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor?s Degree preferred and/or 2+years of progressive operations/staff management experienceAirline management experience highly preferredPrevious management experience of service staff preferred Track record of building positive work teams in a multi-cultural, diverse environmentAvailability to work flexible schedule to include weekends, overnight and holiday shiftsReliable transportation and a valid driver?s licensePhysical ability to lift, carry and/or hold up to 50 lbs.Advanced communication skills, written and verbal Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skill to include, Excel, Microsoft Office, and Outlook; proficient data entry skillFlexibility, multitasking skills and ability to work in an changing environment
