Manager- Ramp

Penauille Servisair a global aviation service company has an opening for a Manager-Ramp at its Logan International Airport location.  The qualified candidate is responsible for the day-to-day administrative support to the General Manager.  In addition, the incumbent is responsible for the effective and efficient implementation of the Company?s and/or Airline Customer?s policies and procedures to ensure that quality and service standards are achieved.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

?  Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the department.

?  Manage and direct staff and employees, in the effective execution of their duties and assist in the

  solution of problems.

?  Prepare departmental budget and set-up programs to control cost.

?  Monitor attendance and vacations records and establish accountability for absenteeism through a

  progressive discipline program.

?  Responsible for ensuring that customer service standards are met and contract services

  performed.

?  Follow-up on all customer requests and establish and an on-going line of communication with

  them. 

?  Troubleshot and develop action plan to correct operational discrepancies.

?  Ensure that all required operational reports are completed and submitted in a timely manner.

?  Assist or assume leading role in union grievances and keep abreast of union related matters.

?  Oversee of aircraft handling activity by utilizing appropriate manpower and ground support

  equipment.

?  Perform regular safety and quality assurance audits.  Take corrective action whenever necessary

  and follow-up with written reports.

?  Ensure that security directives and Airport Authority guidelines or procedures are implemented.

?  Conducts safety briefings as per company requirements.

?  Complete accident reports when necessary within the required time set per company.

?  Ensure that employees are receiving necessary training to handle their assigned tasks by working

 closely with the Manager/Safety &Training.

?  Responsible for administering discipline as set out in company pollicies.

?  Performs related duties as assigned.

 

 EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

-Valid Massachusetts Drivers License.

-High Schoold Diploma or GED equivalent, some college preferred.

-Three (3) to five (5) years ramp managerial experience.

-Should have operational/working knowledge of narrow and wide-body passenger and cargo aircraft and all ground

  support equipment.
