Station Manager - (Sacramento Airport)

 

 Summary of Position:

 

The position of Station Manager reports directly to the Director of Operations.  This position requires consistent, effective, communications with all level of Company Management, Tour Operators, Airports, Aircraft Operators, Catering Vendors and others as required.

 

The Station Manager is responsible for ALL phases of Ground Operations within his/her individual station, including, but not limited to, the areas listed below under Duties and Responsibilities.

 

The Station Manager is responsible for ensuring that all employees, including vendor employees performing services for Pacific Western Aviation, are made aware of any and all duties they must perform that are covered within the Station Manager?s areas of responsibility.

 

The position requires on-time, regular and predictable attendance. This position may be required to travel and to work on weekends and or holidays, as necessary.

 

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

The Station Manager?s duties and responsibilities includes, but is not limited to, the following:

 

1. Responsible for overseeing daily operations within his/her individual station.

 

2. Responsible for selection and training of station personnel.

 

? Performs employee performance evaluations as necessary

 

? Recommends personnel changes, promotions, and salary adjustment within his/her areas of responsibility.

 

? Ensures efficient and effective communication concerning individual job duties and responsibilities with his/her Direct Reports and others within his/her areas of responsibility.

 

 

3. Responsible for preparing and submitting all required reports.

 

4. Responsible for preparing and submitting station supply requisitions.

 

5. Responsible for maintaining all manuals required within his/her station.

 

6. Responsible for communication with, supervision of training and development of station staff.

 

? Maintains training files required to be kept in station.

? Ensures training is scheduled, as necessary, and ensures completion thereof.

 

7. Prepares station personnel requests.

 

8. Communicates with Aircraft operators and all other clients/customers to ensure all operations issues of relative importance are communicated to appropriate parties.

 

9. Responsible for station dependability performance (on-time Ground Operations controllable flight delays).

 

? Reviews station flight delays, investigates, and recommends changes as necessary to improve on-time performance.

 

10.  Administers all customer service functions the station, including but not limited to the following:

 

? Ticketing, if required.

 

? Baggage Handling.

 

? Cargo operations, where applicable.

 

? Passenger security.

 

11.  Supervise ramp activities required for aircraft servicing, including but not limited to the following:

 

? Loading and unloading of baggage;

 

? Loading and unloading of cargo and mail, where applicable.

 

 

12.  Ensures Company operational and safety objectives are met.

 

13.  Represent the company in the community through public relations activities such as service or business

Promotion, organizations and involvement with local governmental agencies.

Prepares necessary plans, budgets, and schedules as required.

 Administers service contract to assure required services are performed in accordance with contractual agreements.

 Must be able to ensure compliance with regulations of federal, state and local airport authorities.

 Responsible for all station resources, such as facilities, equipment, supplies and monies ensuring compliance wit company policy.

 Performs other duties as assigned by Vice President of Operations and/or CEO/President.
