(Architectural)Designer/Drafter

Adecco Technical is looking for an (Architectural) Designer/Drafter to fill a 6-12 month contract position at GE Healthcare in Waukesha, WI.

*Consideration will also be given to recent grads with little to no work experience.

Job Description:
Develop and produce preliminary floor plans and equipment layouts for complex single, multi-room, or multi modality diagnostic imaging departments, working from notes, sketches, and drawings provided. Work with equipment planning specialists in the preparation of preinstallation planning aids of a complex nature, including; electrical and plumbing interconnections diagrams, equipment related mechanical details, and minimum space floor plans. Work with assigned personnel in the completion of preliminary plans and installation drawings. May provide technical leadership, guidance, and training of other design/drafting personnel.

?Prepare site-specific equipment, structural and electrical layouts/elevations within engineering specifications, facility constraints and applicable code regulations.
?Participate in a variety of team roles.
?Provide technical support to others.
?Perform technical checks on drawings produced by others.
?Provide cost-effective solutions to complex installation planning issues.
?May work with others in the creation of Acad blocks, details & etc.

Minimum Qualifications:
?Requires one to three years experience as a Drafter-Facility Planning and an Associate Degree or equivalent in Architectural design or Construction technology.
?Have demonstrated ability to independently draw conclusions from pertinent data.
?Have proven ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing.
?Have demonstrated excellent interpersonal and technical communications skills.
?Have demonstrated ability to work independently toward timely completion of a variety of assignments.
?Highly proficient in AutoCAD.

Desired Qualifications:
?Bachelor degree in architectural design or construction technology
?Knowledge of applicable codes, architectural standards and construction methods
