Business Development Professional - Sales / Marketing

Hoffmann Architects, specialist in the rehabilitation of building exteriors, seeks results-oriented, business development professionals to identify, develop, and close prospective and existing client business for our New York City and New Haven offices.  We offer highly competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package.  The Connecticut office is located in Hamden Center only a few minutes from downtown New Haven and Yale University. The New York office is located in Midtown Manhattan just 2 blocks from Grand Central Stations. 

Application Instructions: Applicants MUST apply online and send a hard copy of their letter of interest and resume to: Human Resources, Hoffmann Architects, 2321 Whitney Avenue, Hamden CT 06518.Primary Responsibilities: Identify, develop, and close new business; proactively develop/maintain relationships and pursue opportunities for additional business with existing clients: Learn/know the 'ins and outs' of the firm's core business and target markets; Qualify and pursue new/additional business based on potential for revenue, profit and timely close; Meet with qualified prospects to present the firm's credentials and/or identify and discuss specific opportunities for future work; Participate in business/social/professional organizations and events, including tradeshows, that promote or generate business relationships; Evaluate and make appropriate 'Go/No-Go' decisions on new business opportunities Write winning technical and fee proposals; Develop and participate in winning business presentations; Review and negotiate contracts and purchase agreements for new business.Document/quantify results of business development activities: Effectively organize and track leads; Submit activity (sales/revenue and projection) reports as required by Director of Business Development.Perform related duties as assigned or required to meet company goals and objectives.Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree 2-5 years of related sales experience Excellent oral and written communications skills Access to private vehicle (mileage will be reimbursed) Must be willing to climb ladders and work on roofs of low- and high-rise buildingsPreferred Requirements: Knowledge of design and construction industry
