CAD Application Specialist

The Facility Group, a $200 million company established in 1986 with its corporate offices in Atlanta, Georgia, which provides professional Program Management, Engineering, Architecture and Construction Management services, is in need of a CAD Application Specialist.

 

Job Description:

 

Assist CAD Departmental Manager with The Facility Group's production staff consisting of A/E/C resources in their day to day activity to ensure project milestones and production deadlines.

 

Responsibilities:

 Assist the CAD Manager in support of production deliverables with respect to local and remote A/E/C resourcesAssist CAD Manager in maintenance of hardware and application requirements, specifications, and license requirement and configurations.Coordinate resources and applications to ensure timely deliverables of CAD applications, consisting of but not limited to AutoDesk, Trane, and other PME applications.Assist in the standardization of CAD programs to ensure company benchmarks are met and maintainedProvide technical support of all CAD applications, including CAD hardware and software applications.Review / Report new technology trends as applicable to the A/E/C environmentEnsure desktop compliance, application configurations, and customizations as needed for new and existing users.Maintain archive and documentation library focusing on standardization and user understanding and complianceAssist CAD Manager with corporate training initatives and ongoing assistance.Provide assistance with CAD application output consisting but not limited to scanner, plotters and electronic dissimination of application files.Perform requested ad hoc design specific inspections, resolve contentions among disciplines and promote departmental initiatives

 

Qualifications/Experience:

 Expert in the utilization of design specific applications such as ADT2004, ADT2005, Trane, and ABSExperienced in civil / structural / electrical design adherence and inspections using native applicationsExperienced in takeoffs of structural / civil / mechancial design applicationsExperiened in training, support, and documentation of design specific applicationsExperienced in a multi-disciplined A/E/C design build firm and interdiscpline requirements.Excellent communication skillsExcellent documentation and thorough presentation skillsAble to work in a challenging and varied environmentAble to faciliate coordination between business units and disciplines among varied individuals
