Custom Landscape Designer and Sales Rep.

Job Description:
Create and sell unique landscape designs to exclusive homeowners in the Fox Valley area.  Designs should be unique and stand out upon completion as works of art.  Work with the clientele and OLN staff to develop a concept that suits the customer?s needs, reflects the vision of OLN, and incorporates personal strengths and abilities.  Utilize high quality perennials, extraordinary ornamentals, trees, shrubs, stone, art, statuary, and outdoor living products.  Measure properties, oversee project coordination, and project management.  Execute project/customer follow up and referral sales program to minimize cold calling.  Properly estimate, calculate job-costing, and schedule jobs. Establish new customer relationships with introductory clientele and sales leads from the Garden Center.  Incorporate personal style and creativity to the vision of OLN and work with customers on overall property management.

Requirements:
OLN requires for this position a confident and motivated individual with at least a 2-year Associate Degree pertaining to design and/or horticulture or 2 years landscape architectural design experience.  Individual must have a developed portfolio to show abilities and ingenuity to OLN.  Have proven sales abilities and be capable of building stable customer relationships.  Show proven design drafting skills and clean, legible design and handwriting included during presentation for sale in a design/build firm.  Properly invoice clients upon project completion and appropriate follow-up through collection. Show a willingness to use networking opportunities and progress abilities to grow into a lead sales position.  Basic computer knowledge, a very strong knowledge of plant materials, good communication skills, clean-cut personality, proven organizational skills, and willing to work both independently and in a TEAM environment.

 

Other:
Average 45+ hours/week.  Typically from 6:45 AM till 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.  Some weekend appointments may be necessary to accommodate clients? needs and sales possibilities.

 

Requirements for hire:

Education &/or Degrees:2-year Associate Degre(pertaining to design and/or horticulture or 2 years landscape architectural design experience.

Drivers License:Class D License ? Regular (Auto, Light Truck, Moped)
