Design Draft Engineer

GENERAL SUMMARY: Create formal drawings and bill of material lists on complex assemblies. Responsible for revising prints per engineering change notices (ECN), engineers or shop request. Document part numbers, release drawings and maintain print packs.



RESPONSIBILITIES:
Receive mark-up from engineer and check for accuracy.
Prepare drawings to scale and dimension as specified.
Assign drawing numbers.
Receive part from engineer or measure part already installed to create a drawing.
Revise prints per ECN, engineer, or shop request.
Make copies of drawings and distribute to the appropriate people.
Collaborate with engineers on new assignments.
Devise an acceptable schedule to complete work.
Interpret drawings to other departments with engineer.
Pursue drafting and design concepts that are reliable and cost effective.
File drawings.
