GOLF GALAXY IS?HIRING A?DEVELOPMENT MANAGER IN OUR REAL ESTATE DEPARTMENT.

JOB DESCRIPTION:?

Responsible for?project development services and support for the Company?s new stores and re-models..

?

RESPONSIBILITIES:? Researches design and construction related issues, such as structural integrity, utility size and condition; existing building conditions and roof condition analysis for future potential store sites and provides results to supervisor.Develops budget for construction, fixtures, owner supplied equipment and signage for potential new store openings, relocations and/or re-models.Manages architectural process consisting of drawing development, review and distribution.? Ensures that architect and engineers understand the correct scope of each project by providing accurate and detailed project parameters of construction requirements.Purchases Owner Supplied Equipment and store fixtures.? Manages vendor selection, timing of delivery, installation management, purchase orders and invoice coding.Oversees sign vendor management process.? Researches city codes in regards to signage, obtains internal approval, works with manufacturer and manages installation.Manage Prototype design and specification of existing and future concepts.Obtains building permits.Develops and manages cost saving freight programs.Provides continuous financial reporting relating to areas of responsibility.

QUALIFICATIONS:??Degree in Architecture with 3-5 years progressive retail construction management experience and an emphasis in multi-market projects, or 5-7 years progressive retail architectural experience with significant architectural experience and an emphasis in multi-market projects.?2-5 years vendor management and purchasing experience.Excellent understanding of the construction process.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and experience.Strong customer service focus with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Demonstrated ability to interact successfully with all levels of employees and customers.Effective planning and organizational abilities and superior detail-orientation.Commitment to Our Core Values: Integrity, Excellence, Passion, Teamwork, Fun!Must take initiative, be self-motivated and an independent, accountable, dependable performer.Solid PC skills to include MS applications (Word, Excel, etc.) and scheduling software (MS Project).Overnight travel by air up to 40 - 60% of time.
