Electrical Engineer - General Engineer 5/6

In this position you will provide electrical engineering support to the Keesler AFB Civil Engineer Squadron.  You will perform planning and design work for substantial multi-phase new construction, renovation, and improvement projects for a variety of real property facilities, including utility systems, utilizing a professional knowledge of electrical engineering.  You will serve as a consulting electrical engineer on all design aspects of assigned projects and will coordinate the preparation of and review A&E statements of work (SOW).  You'll coordinate projects with other engineers in other disciplines or with architects.  You must be able to coordinate/discuss with shop personnel and construction contractors. 

 

Grade range 865/866. Final grade determination will be based upon the knowledge, skills and abilities of the selected applicant.

Experience in the following areas is required:

Bachelors degree with a minimum of 15 years experience with 10 years experience in the specific field of facility engineering.
Facility/Utility engineering experience in design, construction, operations, or maintenance of facilities; specifically electrical distribution and building electrical systems.
Project Management experience.
Experience in all MS office products.
Experience in cost estimating for facility/utility construction and for AE services.
Experience in the following areas is an asset:

PE registration.
Master's degree.
Experience with DoD or Government design, construction or facility project management.
