Electrical Engineering
We are looking for someone with a great attitude and the ability to thrive in a diverse, exciting and dynamic engineering for manufacturing environment. The primary responsibility is the design & development of our blowout preventer drilling control systems. This involves, among other things, component selection, circuit and system integration, bill of material creation, and drawing creation. Assist with product application and provide customer, manufacturing, sales and field service technical support.
Our control systems are industrial computer & PLC based utilizing several communications networks and involve both hazardous as well as safe area rated control stations for use on offshore drilling rigs (floaters, moored and jack up).
Interested candidates should have a BSEE degree from an ABET certified college or University and at least 5 years of engineering experience with a manufacturing company. Recent experience with marine or oilfield electrical equipment is ideal. Familiarity with relevant API, IEC, UL, NFPA, IEEE, ABS, and DNV standards is a plus. Working knowledge of JD Edwards, Pro-Engineer, RSD, Orcad, AutoCad, and Microsoft Office applications also desired.
This position requires approximately 20% travel to offshore drilling rigs. Typical stay is 4 to 10 days.
