Interior Planner; Design & Construction; Riverside Methodist Hospital

JOB DETAILS: PayGrade: 136, Scheduled hours per week: 40.00, Begin and end Times: 8:00 AM TO 4:30 PM; Days of work: M-F

SUMMARY:
Works under the direction of the Director-Design & Construction and assists in the developing of workplace standards for all of Grant/Riverside Methodist Hospitals. Aids in designing, managing and implementing the following aspects of the Hospitals' construction projects: architectural schematics, lighting design and allocation, electrical power locations, telecommunication locations, case work design and material specification, graphics and signs, interior finish, and furniture specification. Creates bid documents, coordinates and inspects installation and most of the above. Prepares project and financial reports for the Director.

REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
B.S. or B.A. degree in Industrial Design, Architecture or Interior Design from a F.I.D.E.R. accredited four year program or a closely related equivalent.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of architectural drawing and design, space planning, material characteristics, design graphic and color concepts, furniture construction, and project coordination.

KIND and LENGTH of EXPERIENCE
Three years contract interior design experience. One year of health care design experience.
