Plumbing Designer

Job Description: Our Orange County Building Programs Group is searching for a Plumbing Designer to join their team as soon as possible. In this position you will be responsible for:  
Design and layout of plumbing systems under the direction of an Engineer for commercial projects
Design and layout of domestic water, sanitary sewer, venting, storm drainage, natural gas, compressed air, fueling, industrial waste, P.O.L, acid waste and grease waste piping systems
Equipment selection including plumbing fixtures, water heaters, interceptors, drains, and pumps 
Coordinating plumbing work with other disciplines including architecture, civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical
Communicating with local authorities and utilities companies
Other duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements:

High School diploma or GED required
2 years college courses, Associate’s degree or certification in CADD is preferred
Additional courses in plumbing design is preferred
5+ years of plumbing design experience in a consulting engineering environment
Experience with institutional, medical, central plants, commercial and industrial facilities
Extensive knowledge of model building codes as related to plumbing engineering
Knowledge of plumbing codes and ASPE design methods and standards
CIPE or CPD designation a plus
Good writing and verbal communication skills a must
Some travel may be required
