Principal Pipeline Design Engineer

As requested by the plant management team, the incumbent will be responsible for the following: Plan, design, and execute both maintenance capital and operations maintenance projects of varying levels of complexity primarily of an electrical and process control nature.  Assist in maintenance capital and O&M budgeting by participating in work planning, developing work scope, and providing cost estimates.  Prepare technical manuals and procedures for equipment and systems of varying levels of complexity. Provide primary I&E engineering support for all plant process controls, automation systems, large generators, and cryogenic equipment including centrifugal pumps, centrifugal compressors, reciprocating compressors, vaporizers, shore tanks, and unloading arms.   Monitor and report equipment reliability data and recommend specific action plans necessary to maintain a high level of operating reliability.  Participate in the development and implementation of preventive and predictive equipment maintenance programs.  Maintain an engineering drawing file system with current drawings necessary to operate a safe and reliable plant.  Monitor applicable codes and regulations.

Incumbent must possess a strong background in electrical and process control engineering in a plant environment.  Experience in the field of LNG is a strong plus.  Experience with Bristol RTU's and Allen Bradley PLC's is also a plus.  Incumbent must demonstrate written and oral communication skills for providing a high level of customer service.  Incumbent must have work experiences that demonstrate good technical, analytical, and problem solving skills.  Incumbent must have good organizational skills and have demonstrated the ability to manage multiple projects or assignments efficiently.  Incumbent should be a self starter and willing to work extended hours during critical outages. A Bachelor`s degree in Electrical Engineering is required. Ten years of related or applicable engineering experience is required.  A PE license is preferred.
