Product Development Manager

1. What are the major objectives or outcomes to be accomplished by the person in this job?

' To coordinate and manage the in-house and out-of-house architectural responsibility of the Myrtle Beach Division.

' 10-20% actual drawing

' 80-90% managing and coordinating

2. What are the most frequent and most essential work activities in this job?

Ability to perform architecturally, draw plans, and manage and direct outside firms to accomplish specific goals. Know what can be done in what frame and schedule in-house completions, or know when to out-source the project.

3. What people and how many are managed by the person in this job?

This person will manage two Assistant Product Development Managers and 4-6 outside architectural/engineering firms..

4. What are the primary people contacts in this job? (With whom? What purpose? How often?)

' Construction Service Manager ' daily basis, direct report, project status and design status

' Architects ' daily basis, coordinating schedules

' P&E Department ' daily basis, reporting on design, specifications and drawings

' Engineers ' daily basis, coordinating schedules

' Division President ' weekly basis to discuss design

' College degree in architecture or related field

' Minimum of 5 years in residential architecture and design

' Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. CAD skills a plus.
