Project Architectural Designer - Architectural Electronics

ESC (Electronic Systems Consultants), a 17 year old, private growing company of 40+, seeks a motivated professional to lead the design phase of a portion of our projects. Applicant will work under the Design Team Leader producing detailed AutoCAD drawings and specifications of architectural systems where affected by ESC systems, coordinate the design process with architects, builders, designers and others, and communicate our intent through meetings, detailed documentation and drawings, and other forms. Applicant will also work under the CEO and COO to express their intent via the sales process in forms that ESC's partners and internal teams can understand. Professional interaction with world-class architects and designers as a representative of ESC is a central component of the position. Position is largely architectural in nature, with a strong technical tendency, as ESC designs and provides integrated control, media, lighting and network systems for large homes and offices. Designing interior spaces and structures such as media rooms, theaters and millwork is also a key component and skill. 50%-70% of the one's time is spent drawing in AutoCAD and producing specifications.



Since 1989, ESC has been the world leader in advanced design+build architectural electronics. ESC designs and builds integrated control, lighting control, network, media, av, and turnkey high-end media room systems for very wealthy clients in the Colorado Mountain Resort Region. ESC is the acknowledged world leader in this field. Applicants time will be spent expressing designs in AutoCAD, producing SKs, RFIs and other communications, managing projects through design, expressing ESCs design vision for spaces, and meeting at various locations with high-end architects, builders, designers and project engineers. Some travel is involved, perhaps 3 gross weeks per year average.



REQUIREMENTS:



*Expert with AutoCAD 2000+ (2004 currently used)

*Strong general PC computer skills

*Fluent with MS Excel, Word, Outlook, IE

*Extensive working Knowledge of Construction Techniques and Processes

*Min. 2 Years Experience Leading Projects in Design or Development, be it of

a technical, architectural, or other physical nature

*Can Clearly Demonstrate an ability to Communicate Verbally and in Writing in a

highly professional manner

*Demonstrated Ability to Solve both Logistical and Political Problems

Independently

*Strong Organizational and Written Organization Skills
