SR> PRIJECT MANAGER, EXHIBITS

You will supervise and engage in the fabrication, installation, deinstallation, and maintenance of exhibits, including scenography, video and audio installations, lighting, live feeds, and computer-aided displays; hire and supervise outside contractors; supervise preventative maintenance and repair to all exhibits; review visitor handling of exhibits with a view towards reduction of wear and tear; oversee staff scheduling; and assist in creating project budgets.

 

Requirements include 10+ years' museum or gallery experience in fabrication and installation of exhibits; AutoCAD skills; computer proficiency (Word, Excel project management software); budgeting and project management skills; a track record of success in staying on time and on budget; welding, woodworking, lighting, control systems and mount construction skills; knowledge of Audio Visual and ability to successfully supervise Audio Visual staff in a team-based environment; excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills; high degree of attention to detail; strong organizational and multitasking abilities; and a B.A. in Studio Art, Fine Art, Architecture or related technical field.
