Senior Civil Engineer

Our Client, an aggressive, privately held, growth oriented, full service A/E/C firm located in Ashland, VA area, has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer with Site Design experience.  This international company provides a competitive compensation including salary, comprehensive benefits package and relocation assistance, if required.

 

Reporting to the Civil Engineering Department Head, this Senior Civil Engineering position supervises engineers, designers and CADD operators in all phases of industrial, retail, commercial and high end residential site design and preparation of associated construction documents. The Senior Civil Engineer directs the technical activities on these projects including but not limited to site layout; grading; stormwater management, erosion and sediment control; utility layout and design; and provides direction to and participates in the development of technical studies, investigations and designs in support of assigned projects including scope definition, pricing and staffing.

 

The position requires:

?  A registered, Professional Engineer, PE, with either a BS degree in Civil Engineering with 8+ years of applicable discipline design and analysis experience or a MS degree in Engineering with 7+ years of applicable experience, and a demonstrated ability to provide engineering leadership in problem analysis and on large site design projects.

?  AutoCAD experience is a must and Microsoft Office experience a plus.

?  Site design and plan production and/or project engineering/management experience, preferably in subdivisions, commercial, industrial & retail development.

?  Excellent verbal and written communication skills, plus great interpersonal skills to work with valued clients and team members.
