Senior Designer

Wyndham offers design services to its franchisees.  This will encompass;1.  Design all the FF&E for the entire property, if needed.2.  Assembling the FF&E budget and making changes and adjustments if necessary.3.  Creating design board and presenting design and budget to client.4.  Providing project management services following the project from start to finish.5.  Bid development, expediting shipment, resolving damage questions.Brand identity and Wyndham staff1.  Designers are working with all Brands to develop FF&E groupings that reflect projected brand goals.2.    Consistently working with Wyndham departments to improve individual properties.Ensure that projects maintain their consistency and pace of development from an Interiors FF&E perspectiveImplementing Design:?  Research & development of design projects.?  Perform site visits where applicable ?  Formulation of timelines & budgets?  Create design concepts within client timeline and budget?  Develop bid proposals ?  Create specification books (containing all information on products to be ordered)Project Management:? Maintain up-to-date FF&E status of each new construction project.? Oversee the FF&E for each project providing feedback to maintain system wide standards and consistency.? Work with Project Managers and Executive Staff to coordinate product changes due to franchisee waiver requests or products being discontinued.? Assist developing franchisees with their ‘new construction’ properties.? Assist franchisees in selecting and/or developing a design, working with their supplier source to confirm that supplied products meet brand standards.? Field questions, act as mediator between franchisees and approved suppliers?  Encourage franchisee to purchase their FF&E package through Wyndham Worldwide Supplier Services. Follow-up with clients to address any concerns?  Prioritize project to meet multiple client deadlines?  Coordinate project with procurement (CSSI)?  Field questions, act as mediator between franchisees and approved suppliers?  Provide feedback on issues as may pertain to the integrity of the standards of operation and design? Ensure projects are expedited as part of larger divisional goal.Perform tasks to support the department and brand.  ? Assist Property Openings and Hotel Sales in providing a design service that will enable them to complete a sale to a prospective franchisee ? Work with Quality Assurance on properties they assign to us to improve the property in order to meet or exceed Q.A. standards? Interview suppliers to keep knowledgeable about new products, new suppliers, market need changes, etc, in order to educate and guide both inside and outside “clients”.? Perform requested tasks as part of department’s support services (ei. Prototype interiors, conference preparation & presentations)? Update FIS on project status and contacts? “Last Minute” requests from various sources. 



The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria.

 Excellent skills in working under pressure are required.  Meeting constantly changing timelines, requests, design styles and budgets is a must.  Good communication skills are essential since more than 40% of our day is spent on the phone with clients, suppliers, developers, or fellow co-workers. College degree in the interior design field.  Minimum 4 years’ experience in the design industry is necessary, to include one year’s experience in the Hotel market.
