Specifications Coordinator

Job Description: Our Fort Worth Building Programs Group is looking for a Specifications Coordinator to join their team.  In the role of Specifications Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:
Providing technical specifications-related assistance to professional architects and engineers.
Prepare construction contract documents, write technical specifications, and attend project meetings.
Through continual revising and updating, you will maintain the internal office master specification system incorporating revisions based upon input from project design team users and manufacturer information.
This role also includes the research and review of data to determine contract requirement adherence.
You will be responsible for quality control and production support through the production of specifications and similar project deliverables.
You will also manage project files to ensure appropriate specification sections are catalogued accurately.

Job Requirements:


To be successful in the role of Specifications Coordinator, your qualifications will include:
At least 3 years experience preparing contract documents in an engineering or architectural environment.
Related education and certification as a Construction Documents Technologist through CSI (Construction Specifications Institute) is preferred.
You must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be proficient with MS Office products.
Experience and knowledge related to the Department of Defense SpecsIntact specifications writing systems is preferred.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who has an interest in the written word and specifications writing for the A/E industry.
You must be willing to complete further studies with the goal to specialize as a Certified Construction Specifier through CSI.
