Sr. Analyst Power Fundamentals (GM)

This position will use quantitative methods including computer models and database resources to analyze and evaluate wholesale electricity market fundamentals and to provide support for the company's generation asset acquisition and operation strategies.


Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, math, science, economics, or equivalent.  The successful candidate will have an understanding of, and experience with using production cost dispatch models and databases. Multisym/Prosym are preferred. Two years or more working experience in either dispatch modeling or electric power wholesale market price analysis is desired.  Quantitative, statistical, and analytical problem solving skills are necessary.  Proficiency with MS Office is highly desired; programming skills in C++, VB or similar is a plus. The sucessful candiate must be able to work in a team environment and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
